Focus and Scope
International Journal of Cotton Research and Technology (IJCRT) (Previous “Pakistan-Cotton” 1958-2018) aims to promote multidisciplinary research and development accomplishments regarding all aspects of Cotton science and technology in the whole cotton value chain. IJCRT is an international forum to highlight the progress in global diversified research on cotton including agricultural, technological and marketing and economic research and development in Pakistan, region and across the global cotton belt.
Agricultural disciplines include cotton agronomy, physiology, breeding & genetics, seed-technology, pathology, entomology, post-harvest technology, fiber-technology, extension, information technology, cotton value-chain analyses, etc. Technological research includes fiber and textile technologies including fiber technologies, ginning, spinning, weaving, textile technologies and engineering, fiber and fabrics testing, cotton-standardization and QC system, design and fashion technologies, etc. It will also include research and development on cotton marketing and economic research with emphasis on trade of raw-cotton, fiber, fabrics and ready-made garments.
The published articles shall be freely available for cotton students, researchers, technologists, farmers, and all other stakeholders to promote the multidisciplinary development of cotton science and technology.

Double Blind Peer Review Process
The Research and review manuscript will undergo the Blind Peer Review Process. To ensure the integrity of the blind peer-review for submission to this journal, every effort should be made to prevent the identities of the authors and reviewers from being known to each other.

Archiving
International Journal of Cotton Research and Technology utilizes the LOCKSS system to create a distributed archiving system among participating libraries and permits those libraries to create permanent archives of the journal for purposes of preservation and restoration. More...

Authors’ Responsibilities

- The author will provide all the information (complete name, department and contact information) about the co-author.
- Corresponding author is responsible to make sure that each author has seen and approved the content of the submitted manuscript.
- Author contributions must be provided
- Conflict of interest must be clearly acknowledged
- Acknowledgements must be provided if any
Double Blind Peer Review Process
Research and review manuscript will undergo the double blind peer review process. To ensure the integrity of the blind peer-review for submission, every effort should be made to prevent the identities of the authors and reviewers from being known to each other.
Your manuscript will undergo the blind peer review and the review process time will be 6-8 weeks. Please do expect slight delay if the review period overlaps with a long holiday or Summer/Winter break.
About Authorship
- The corresponding (submitting) author is responsible for having ensured that this agreement has been attained and for managing all communication between the journal and all co-authors, before and after publication.
- A confirmation email will be sent to each listed co-author (email provided by corresponding author).
- If co-author has any objections, co-author will contact the editorial office as soon as possible.
- If we do not hear back from co-author within five working days (one week), we will assume co-author is agreed with co-authorship.
- Any change to the authors list after submission, such as a change in the order of the authors or the deletion of authors needs to be approved by a signed letter from every author.
- You cannot add the author's name at the final stage of publication.
- If you want to add the name of an author, you should provide all the information why the author was skipped in the manuscript before and why it is necessary now
Minimum Requirements for Authorship
- All persons designated as authors should qualify for authorship, and all those who qualify should be listed.
- Each author should have participated sufficiently in the work to take public responsibility for appropriate portions of the content.
- One or more author should take responsibility for the integrity of the work as a whole, from inception to published article.
Authorship Credit
- Substantial contributions to conception and design, or acquisition of data, or analysis and interpretation of data and b) Final approval of the version to be published.
- Acquisition of funding, the collection of data, or general supervision of the research group, by themselves, do not justify authorship.
- Authors should provide a description of what each contributed, and editors should publish that information.
- All others who contributed to the work who are not authors should be named in the Acknowledgments, and what they did should be described.
Information For Librarians
We encourage research librarians to list this journal among their library's electronic journal holdings. As well, it may be worth noting that this journal's open source publishing system is suitable for libraries to host for their faculty members to use with journals they are involved in editing.

Editors’ Responsibilities
- The editor will maintain all the submission record of the journal.
- The editor will email (provided by reviewer) to all co-author(s) for the confirmation of authorship.
- The editor will assigned reviewers to the manuscript based on the scientific content of the work.
- The editor is responsible to maintain the confidentiality of the complete review process
- The editor is responsible to make sure double blind peer reviewed of the manuscript and all efforts will be made to prevent the identities of the authors and reviewers from being known to each other.
- The editor is responsible to maintain the transparency of the academic research.
- The editor will not provide any information of the manuscript before publication of the manuscript.
Reviewers’ Responsibilities
- The reviewer will evaluate the originality and scientific accuracy of the manuscript and reviewer will provide unbiased timely evaluation and decision on the paper
- The reviewer will decline to review the manuscript if personal or financial conflict of interest was observed.
- The reviewer will informed any ethical concerns in the manuscript
Publishers’ Responsibilities
- Scientific Press will work with editor and monitor the role to make sure the accurate procedure and transparency of editorial decisions.
- Scientific Press will make sure timely publication of research findings with confidential procedure, publication ethics and rectitude, authorship and conflict of interest if any
