Author Guidelines
AIMS and SCOPE
International Journal of Cotton Research and Technology (IJCRT) aims to promote multidisciplinary research and development accomplishments regarding all aspects of Cotton science and technology in the whole cotton value chain. IJCRT is an international forum to highlight the progress in global diversified research on cotton including agricultural, technological and marketing and economic research and development in Pakistan, region and across the global cotton belt.
Agricultural disciplines include cotton agronomy, physiology, breeding & genetics, seed-technology, pathology, entomology, post-harvest technology, fiber-technology, extension, information technology, cotton value-chain analyses, etc. Technological research includes fiber and textile technologies including fiber technologies, ginning, spinning, weaving, textile technologies and engineering, fiber and fabrics testing, cotton-standardization and QC system, design and fashion technologies, etc. It will also include research and development on cotton marketing and economic research with emphasis on trade of raw-cotton, fiber, fabrics and ready-made garments.
The published articles shall be freely available for cotton students, researchers, technologists, farmers, and all other stakeholders to promote the multidisciplinary development of cotton science and technology.
EDITORIAL POLICY
1.IINTERNATIONAL JOURNAL OF COTTON RESEARCH AND TECHNOLOGY published short communication, research/review manuscript which has not been published elsewhere (only in the form of abstract, lecture and thesis) and are not currently under consideration elsewhere.
2.Corresponding author has responsibility for ensuring that all the other co-authors and a particular institution have approved the research.
Format or Structure of Manuscript
The manuscripts should be written in English (Cambria 10) on letter paper (width 8.5" and height 11") with 1"margin on top and bottom and 0.5" on left and right. Single spaced and one column should be used in all manuscripts.
Title: The tittle of the manuscript should be in capital.
Authors: Full names, affiliation and email address of authors should be mentioned after tittle
Co-author Contributions: Authors are strongly encouraged to include a statement at the end noted to specify the actual contribution of each co-author to the completed work
Abstract: The importance of the particular study, methods, reliable results and conclusion should be added in 250 to 300 words abstract.
Keywords:Only 4 to 8 keywords are required.
Introduction:The background of study or problem, important and recent literature must be included in the introduction.
Objectives:The objectives or hypothesis must be added at the end of the introduction.
Materials and Methods:It should be accurate and reference should be provided for each experiment.
Results and Discussions:This portion may or may not combine.
The Results:The result should be to the point and duplication of result in the form of graph and table should be avoided.
Discussions: It should be logical about findings and more recent.
International System of Units (SI units) should be used to abbreviate the units.
Acknowledgments: Financial and material support should also be acknowledged if any
References: The references must be at the end of the manuscript according to the format of the journal.

- In running text or parenthesis, single author should be cited in literature e.g Abbas (2016) studied that or (Abbas, 2016), two authors should be separated from and not & e.g Abbas and Muhammad (2016) studied that or (Abbas and Muhammad, 2016) and in case of more than two authors, et al., should be used Chakravarthy et al., (2014) studied that or (Chakravarthy et al., 2014). Chronological order should be used for two or more citations in the text (Lucas et al., 2000; Khan et al., 2015).

Tables and Figures: All the tables and figure should be in editable form where applicable and provided at the end. Tables and figure should be mentioned in the text.
Plagiarism
- Plagiarism of manuscript will be checked (must be less or equal than 19%) before sending for the review process.
- If plagiarism will be found after publication, the Scientific Platform will contact the author’s institute and funding agencies for necessary actions and plagiarism will be mentioned on published manuscript.
SUBMISSION OF MANUSCRIPTS
The manuscripts (written in English) should be submitted online.
REVIEW PROCESS TIME
The review process time will be 4 to 6 weeks and please do expect a slight delay if the review period overlaps with a long holiday or summer/winter break.
POSSIBLE DECISIONS
The decision about manuscript will be provided to the corresponding author.
- The manuscript is accepted as it is
- The manuscript is accepted after minor revision
- The manuscript is accepted after major revision
- The manuscript is rejected due to plagiarism policy (Similarity Index) or other factors
REVISION OF THE ACCEPTED MANUSCRIPT
- If minor revision is required, authors should return a revised version as soon as possible within 5 working days.
- If major revision is required, authors should return a revised version within 20 working days.
After receiving the satisfaction revision of the manuscript, an electronic proof read version of the final manuscript will be sent to all authors. The minor corrections in the text (5%) are allowed before publication.
TRANSFER OF COPYRIGHTS
The corresponding author should sign the transfer of copyright form and sent it back electronically
ONLINE AVAILABILITY OF MANUSCRIPT
The final manuscript will be available online immediately.
ABOUT DUPLICATE PUBLICATION
Corresponding author is responsible to get permission from previous publisher or copyright holder if an author is re-using any part of paper e.g., figure(s), published elsewhere, or that is copyrighted.
Self-citation/ Falsification:Self-citations are highly restricted.
