Abstract

This new early maturing and heat tolerant variety Bt.CIM-632 was evolved at the Plant Breeding & Genetics Section of Central Cotton Research Institute, Multan Pakistan through hybridization between  a line 630-05/09 and a variety Bt.CIM-599. Punjab Seed Council recommended Bt.CIM-632 for general planting in core and non-core areas of Punjab Pakistan. It has a better tolerance against Cotton Leaf Curl Virus Disease, early maturity, high yield potential and optimum fibre traits.
